Lasallian Leadership Appreciation Dinner

On the 12th of May 2011, The Prefectorial Board conducted a "Lasallian Leadership Appreciation Dinner" in conjunction with Teacher's Day week. Actually, the dinner is one of parliament project. Since, parliamentary board already have too many activities to organize during teacher's day week, the prefectorial board given the opportunity to conduct this dinner. We were given two weeks to manage this dinner to ensure everybody who attend this dinner is satisfy. Due to lack of time, librarians and parliamentary board collaborate with us to ensure the success of this event.

The objective of this dinner is to strength the ties between the teacher and the student. On that day, all of which appear on that dinner was very satisfied with the food that is served such as lamb BBQ, fruits, malay cuisine such as nasi goreng, cendol, satay, also italian cuisine such as roasted chicken and spaghetti. A lot of activities conducted by us during that dinner such performances from Jazswuin Jably, dance from The Flowmity Crew, poco-poco dance lead by Angie Yee, haka dance from rugby club, and also there is karaoke and lucky draw. Our principal, Mdm Julia Wille Jock was very happy with the way we manage the dinner with great highly success not even her, also the student and the teachers that attended this dinner. Thanks to prefectorial board committee and librarians and also to our sponsor!.

"T-shirt for Nabawan"

"T-shirt for Nabawan"

"T-shirt for Nabawan" is an outreach programme conducted by The Prefectorial Board since 2008. In 2008, the project was given the name "t-shirt for nabawan", recommended by SM La Salle Excellent Principal, Mdm Julia Willie Jock. This is because, in that year, all t-shirt that donated by the students were given to Asrama Butitin principal, the late Brother Peter Phelan to pass the t-shirts to the poor children in Asrama Butitin. With the success, the name of this project is still use until now but different places. This year, the prefectorial board were handed the cloths donation to Mdm Hajjah Dayang Rugayah, principal for Rumah Kanak-Kanak Kota Kinabalu on 20th of April 2011. On the same day we went to RKKKK, RKKKK conducted a blood donation campaign.

Prefects March Past ( La Salle Sports Day 2011)

Year after year, the prefects of SM La Salle never fail to impress the audience with their outstanding uniformity, and vigour for the march past performance during Sports Day. The secret behind their performance was that the prefects spend hours, days and weeks practicing hard and long to mould their marching skills to perfection. In addition to that, the prefects were given only two weeks to practice for the march past event. Time was limited and everyone was busy with sports events. Due to the lack of time, prefects taking part in the march decided to stay back after school to practice on a regular basis despite the tiring school day. This is what the prefects take pride in their never ending commitment and perseverance in whatever they decide to take on. Furthermore, practices were not an easy stroll in the school compound. Given the limited time, the prefects had to go all out and give their best during every single practice. Break times were short, practices were harsh and commanders were stern. Every detail was taken into account. This included the force used the angle of their arms, the marching tempo and even the position of their arms when they salute.

After two weeks of hard work and training, the prefects were ready.
Sports Day was held on the 12 February 2011 at Penampang Stadium. For the year of 2011, the commander of the prefect’s march past was Othman Hasli, the prefectorial board member.Although the day was cloudy and the blazers worn by the prefects restricted body movement, the prefects stood at attention with unwavering determination and discipline. Sports Day was the moment where prefects get to show the commitment, love and pride they have in being part of the Lasallian prefects

Interview Prefect Form 4 2011

Since Form 3 2010 student already up to Form 4 on their new life at Senior Campus, we conducted a prefect interview during sports week on January 2011. The aim is to increase the number of prefects in SM La Salle especially in Senior Campus. There are 17 student attended this interview and they all accepted. After that, they have undergone the orientation session by the senior prefects on their respective job stations during recess time, to ensure all daily duties run smoothly. Finally, their first activity on Prefectorial Board is to join prefects marching team for Annual School Sports Day 2011

Prefects Farewell Dinner 2010

The dinner was organized by the new prefects committee 10/11..the difficult parts is to create the theme dinner....we were suggest, such as "no pain no gain", "no excellence without action" and so on. Finally, we choose the best, simple and creative theme which is FUN! < thankzz to Valentine....FUN is stand for Friends later, Uniforms first, N That's it....means that we should take care of our duty as a prefects than friend WHILE we on duty.... the dinner was held on 4th November 2010 at Bundusan Place Restaurant.....

For the first time, the prefects dinner is offering several special award to the lucky prefect to thank them for their contribution in school and the Prefects Board...each awards is divided into two category...Senior and Junior.... the award is:

On the dinner, we have a lot of activities such as performance, games, exchange gift, reflection of our activities through the year and dancing.....
